The Dawn Before 'Election Day'

ballot.bmp

Everyone knows what is at stake in today's election.

There is no need for rhetoric, cynicism, or character assassination. The past sixty days have shown us numerous examples of that.

But keep this quote (by Aristotle) in mind when you vote:

"Courage is the first of human qualities because it is the quality which guarantees the others."

Are you voting for someone courageous?
Will that individual take a stand in the face of any injustice?
Is that individual willing to sacrifice his or her own personal interests to protect the public?

It doesn't matter how educated, intelligent, resourceful, passionate, experienced or wise the candidate is. Or for that matter, how much empathy they have for Kuwait and its citizens - without courage there is nothing.

FREEEEEDOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM.

By and large I'm happy with the results. Most who made it in are reformers.

Even with 25 constituencies and unlimited resources, the government could not impose its will on the people.
